2009 Night of Praise
"A Benefit for Tabria Spicer"
Held on September 26, 2009 7:00 p.m.
The Averitt Center for the Arts, Statesboro
We are still accepting donations for Tabria

A Night of Praise is an annual concert featuring praise dancers, mime groups and select gospel musicians from GA, SC and FL.  Each year the event is sponsored through ad purchases in the program manual and various sponsorship opportunities.  We welcome your participation this year as we join together to raise money for a Total Praise family member battling cancer at the young age of 3.

Meet Tabria

Tabria Spicer is the very energetic 3 year old daughter of Ronnie and Frederica Spicer of Statesboro, GA.  She enjoys playing with her friends, watching the Disney Channel and spending time with her 2 big sisters Erica and Ambernique and big brother, Antoine.  Tabria’s favorite characters are Dora and Diego.  It is often said that Tabria has never met a stranger.

In early 2009 Tabria was diagnosed with rabdomyo sarcoma, a form of cancer.  Recently Tabria’s mother had to leave her full time job as a childcare provider in order to care for Tabria full time as she undergoes an intense series of chemotherapy.  Tabria has been a member of the Total Praise Praise dance family ever since the day she was born.  Her older sister Erica is a founding member and sister Ambernique has been dancing for five years.

All of us are looking forward to Tabria’s 6th birthday when she too can join the dance ministry.   Therefore the entire Total Praise family past and present is coming together for our annual fundraiser not in an effort to benefit our dance ministry as we have in years past, but instead we are extending a sisterly hand to Tabria and her family as she continues in her fight to overcome cancer and its financial affects on her family.

We urge the communities in Statesboro and beyond to step out and support Tabria by serving as an event sponsor, purchasing an ad in the program manual or simply going online or mailing in a financial donation in support of Tabria and her family.
